First, you need to select a dharmic religion (Hinduism or Buddhism) and an Abrahamic religion (Judaism, Christianity and Islam). Then, in your paper you compare the following concepts of the two religions with each other.
1) The concept of human nature (Compare the concepts of the true human nature in the two religions.) (4 Marks).
2) The concept of the supreme being. (Compare the concepts of supreme being in the two religions.) (4 Marks).
3) The concept of a good life (Compare the concepts of a good life in the two religions.) (4 Marks).
4) The concept of sin/karma. (Compare the concepts of karma/sin in the two religions.) (4 Marks).
5) The ultimate goal/salvation or redemption. (Compare the concepts of the ultimate goal in the two religions). (4 Marks).
Format:
In one sentence, you need to mention the two selected religions (a dharmic and an Abrahamic religion). You compare the two religions in terms of the five above mentioned concepts. You nee to write one paragraph for each concept. In each paragraph, first, you need to explain the concept in the dharmic religion and in the Abrahamic religion. Then, you compare the two concepts with each other. Therefore, your paper would contain five paragraphs. To write your paper, you can use the materials we discussed in our class including your textbook. However, you might need to do some research and to use the content of articles, books, and websites.
