Discuss the issues or ideas you are going to talk about, and state why you feel they are important.

This can be completed as a group [up to 4 members] or individual assignment.
This assignment requires you to analyze a data set using the statistical tools you have
learned during the semester. The data set can be any one of your choosing, and should
contain at least four variables and a minimum of 50 observations. The paper should be
structured as follows:
Introduction:
Discuss the issues or ideas you are going to talk about, and state why you feel they are
important.
Research question or questions:
State the issue or issues the paper plans to address in the form of one or two questions.
Methods:
Describe the data source and the statistical approach for addressing the issues you have
identified.
Findings [this will be the largest part of your paper]:
Explain what you found through your data analysis. Include a table of descriptive
statistics showing summary characteristics of the individuals or things in the study and
any graphs or charts that help to explain your findings.
Conclusions:
Explain how your findings address the issue(s) that you outlined in the introduction and
specified in the research question. If there are any limitations to your study, briefly state
what they are. Limitations can be anything from missing variables to insoluble problems
with the data, such as multicollinearity that cannot be fully corrected.
Submit a copy of your paper [3-5 pages maximum] and attach your Minitab output to
show how you completed your analysis.
