eight most common forms of governments of the world: (Republic, Democracy, Monarchy, etc). Identify several
nations (2-3), past or present, that best represent, or are associated w/that type of rule. Mention variations, or
subcategories of types, if any exist. Identify national leaders, either historical or noteworthy within a type.
Compare and contrast the most popular types today comparing defining characteristics. Identify by percentages
the world populations living under these types of government. Roughly, how many different nations by each

Business Analytics and Decision Making

You are a consultant who works for the Diligent Consulting Group. In this Case, you are engaged on a consulting basis by Loving Organic Foods. In order to get a better idea of what might have motivated customers’ buying habits you are asked to analyze the factors that impact organic food expenditures. You performed a simple linear regression analysis in the Module 3 Case. Now, you are adding a layer of complexity to that analysis and including more independent variables in your model.
Case Assignment
Using Excel, generate regression estimates for the following model:
Annual Amount Spent on Organic Food = α + b1Age + b2AnnualIncome
+ b3Number of People in Household + b4Gender
After you have reviewed the results from the estimation, write a report to your boss that interprets the results that you obtained. Please include the following in your report:
1. The regression output you generated in Excel.
2. Your interpretation of the coefficient of determination (r-squared).
3. Your interpretation of the global test for statistical significance (the F-test).
4. Your interpretation of the coefficient estimates for all the independent variables.
5. Your interpretation of the statistical significance of the coefficient estimates for all the independent variables.
6. The regression equation with estimates substituted into the equation. (Note: Once the estimates are substituted into the regression equation, it should take a form similar to this: y = 10 +2×1 +1×2 +4×3+0.9×4)
7. An estimate of “Annual Amount Spent on Organic Food” for the average consumer. (Note: You will need to substitute the averages for all the independent variables into the regression equation for x, the intercept for α, and solve for y.)
8. A discussion of whether or not the coefficient estimate on the Age variable in this estimation is different than it was in the simple linear regression model from Module 3 Case. Be sure to explain why it did/did not change.
Data: Download the Excel-based data file: BUS520 Module 4 Case.
Assignment Expectations
Written Report
Length requirements: 3–4 pages minimum (not including Cover and Reference pages). Note: You must submit 3–4 pages of written discussion and analysis.
Provide a brief introduction to/background of the problem, similar to the introduction/background you provided in Module 1 through 3 Case submissions.
Provide a brief comparison of simple linear regression and multiple linear regression.
Provide a written analysis that addresses each of requirements listed under the “Case Assignment” section.
Write clearly, simply, and logically. Use double-spaced, black Verdana or Times Roman font in 12 pt. type size.
Please use keywords as headings to organize the report.
Avoid redundancy and general statements such as “All organizations exist to make a profit.” Make every sentence count.
Paraphrase the facts using your own words and ideas, employing quotes sparingly. Quotes, if absolutely necessary, should rarely exceed five words.

Family Law

Carole and Howard had been married for 13 years however the relationship broke down and the couple separated. Both parties had been unfaithful however, Howard wished to “take the hit” and Carole brought the petition against him. The decree nisi had been granted but no decree absolute.
Three months later, Carole had met Joe who she believed was her true love and they moved into the matrimonial home together.
Carole had 3 children while in a relationship with Howard, these are Tony, Steve and Garfield who were four, six and twelve at the time of moving in with Joe. These children were conceived using a sperm donor.
Joe and Carole have been cohabiting for 22 months now and Carole has noticed that Joe is a heavy drinker. When he drinks, he looks at the messages on her phone and stops her from calling her family and friends. He often drinks for days at a time. His drinking has often caused arguments and Joe has on one occasion hit Carole. Garfield has witnessed Joe hitting Carole and secretly informed his father (Howard via WhatsApp).
When Carole and Joe got together, Howard refused to pay child support saying that “they’re not my kids anyway”. This led Carole to sever all communication with Howard, including the weekly meetings he was having with the children over Skype and in the local park. In an attempt to stop Howard seeing the children, Carole has arranged for the children to go to stay with Joe’s family over the summer holidays. There has been an agreement since the couple separated that the children would spend 50% of their time with Carole and 50% with Howard over summer. However, with Carole sending them to Joe’s parents, Howard will not see them at all. This led Howard to threaten to take the children out of school and leave the country with them.
Those involved have agreed to negotiate and hope to reach an agreement on these issues.
Brief:
• You will be split into groups of two.
• One person will represent Carole.
• One person will represent Howard.
• You should review the information provided above as well as the supporting documents in your pack.
• The time allotted is 30 minutes. This will allow each person 10 minutes to outline their arguments and then 10 minutes for a negotiation and questions.
You must provide supporting documents for your arguments of no more than 2500 words in length. This must be submitted via Turnitin prior to the negotiation taking place. The supporting documents need to be fully referenced (OSCOLA). Supporting documents should include a summary of the facts of the case, the objectives of the negotiation and any non-negotiable points as well as any relevant applicable law.

leave vulnerable groups exposed and what suggested improvement can assist in remedying that lacuna.
The fathers working from home identifying the volumous unpaid work and invaluable contributions of mothers

Organisational change is notably difficult to implement successfully. One of the implications of the global recession is that firms may have to re-evaluate and rationalise. For the SMT provide an analysis of what organisational change may mean to the company

Assignment Task
On 5th July 2018 the United States trade war with China officially began, as the Trump administration’s threat to impose tariffs became reality. Designed to tackle the US trade deficit with China, at midnight $34 billion worth of tariffs on approximately 800 different types of products came into effect. (www.nytimes.com) China reacted immediately and similarly placed a 25% tax on products imported into the country from the US. (www.theguardian.com) Recently, trade wars were thought to be a thing of the past. Politically and economically, free trade has been seen to be of benefit for domestic and global economies and the wealth of nations. (www.bbc.com) The reduction in restrictions, if not termination, of trade barriers and even country’s borders, as in the EU single market, has led to a progressive growth in economies all over the world. The largest of the industrialized economies (G 6,7 and 8) have annually held a summit, since 1975, to discuss the global economy and enable trade agreements. The Trump administration may go even further in implementing trade barriers, with the US president voicing his disdain with the World Trade Organisation (WTO), with the rumour that the administration has drafted a bill to pull the United States out of the WTO. The concern amongst economists is that these policies from one of the wealthiest countries in the world, could trigger a recession and threaten global policy. (www.fortune.com) As a result of these actions on the part of the Trump administration, and Brexit, the global economy has become more volatile and turbulent in the last 2 years, since the financial crisis of 2008. Industrialists and multinationals are monitoring events closely, as significant changes, such as these, can have implications to organisations working in those markets. As a strategist for a multinational organisation of your choosing, you are asked to write a report for the senior management team (SMT) focussing on these events in the global economy. The report should provide the SMT with an analysis on the following.
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-44728166 https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/06/business/china-us-trade-war-trump-tariffs.html https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/jul/06/china-ready-to-fight-back-as-us-beginstrade-war http://fortune.com/2018/07/02/trump-wto-exit-bill-trade-agreements/ https://www.bbc.com/news/business-44711257
Question 1.
a. Critically evaluate the external and internal environments using appropriate tools and identify potential intended strategies for the organisation. Are there any steps which the organisation should take now in case there is another global crisis in the next 2 to 5 years? (800 words)
b. If a global recession was to occur in the next year, are there any emergent strategies which you would recommend? (400 words; 10 marks You will need to justify your use of tools and techniques)
Question 2
c. Evaluate the purpose of strategic planning and decision making within an organisation. You should evaluate and distinguish between intended, emergent and realised strategies and consider the alternative approaches to how strategy can be viewed and strategic planning undertaken within an organisation. (approx. 1600 words)
Question 3.
d. Organisational change is notably difficult to implement successfully. One of the implications of the global recession is that firms may have to re-evaluate and rationalise. For the SMT provide an analysis of what organisational change may mean to the company. (approx. 1200 words)
